Abstract

This research examines the implementation of millennial learning models in Indonesian language teaching at Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), focusing on integrating traditional and innovative teaching approaches. Using a qualitative descriptive method, the study analyzes the effective-ness of combining modern pedagogical techniques with established pe-santren educational practices. The research involved observations, inter-views, and document analysis at selected Islamic boarding schools. The findings reveal that the integration of millennial learning models signifi-cantly improves student engagement and language proficiency while maintaining cultural and religious values. The study demonstrates a 40% increase in classroom participation and a 35% improvement in language acquisition scores. Furthermore, the research identifies key success factors including comprehensive teacher training, technological integra-tion, and community support. This study contributes to the development of effective language teaching methodologies that bridge traditional Is-lamic education with contemporary pedagogical approaches.
