Abstract

The contemporary landscape of education undergoes continuous evolution, emphasizing the pivotal role of teachers in shaping educational frameworks. This study delves into the pedagogical competencies of English teachers at MTs DDI Kalosi, revealing deficiencies in English instruction delivery, characterized by traditional methodologies and limited engagement. Efforts to enhance pedagogical effectiveness align with the Government Regulation Number 19 of 2005, emphasizing understanding students' needs, designing innovative learning activities, and fostering holistic student development. Utilizing a qualitative approach, the study explores teaching practices, data derived from direct observations, and document analysis. Findings highlight the meticulous preparation of lesson plans but underscore challenges in instructional resource availability and diverse teaching methods. Collaborative efforts are suggested to streamline lesson planning processes and improve English language instruction effectiveness, ultimately contributing to student success and educational excellence.
